30 Years as Medina County Auditor
Undoubtedly the most qualified candidate, Mike Kovack has been Medina County Auditor since 1993.
Winning the "Excellence in Accounting" award for the last 29 years consecutively, Mike leads the Auditor's office with transparency, honesty, and integrity above all else.
There's certainly no wasteful spending in the Auditor's office while Mike is in charge. His office is spending nearly the same amount of tax dollars today as the year before he took office – in 1992!
A Lifetime of serving others
As a United States Naval Officer, Kovack served three tours in the Persian Gulf. After 9/11, he was recalled to the Naval Reserve and served two tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
His dedication to serving others continued back home where he has been deeply involved in our community.
Actively Engaged in our Community
He and his office founded the Medina County Regional Pet Adopt-a-thon, which over the course of its 20+ year history, found homes for nearly 1,000 abandoned pets.
Kovack is the chair and founder of the Auditor Kovack Community Fund, which has distributed over $200,000 in scholarships and assistance throughout its history.
