As a United States Naval Officer, Kovack served three tours in the Persian Gulf. After 9/11, he was recalled to the Naval Reserve and served two tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
His dedication to serving others continued back home where he has been deeply involved in our community.

He and his office founded the Medina County Regional Pet Adopt-a-thon, which over the course of its 20+ year history, found homes for nearly 1,000 abandoned pets.
Kovack is the chair and founder of the Auditor Kovack Community Fund, which has distributed over $200,000 in scholarships and assistance throughout its history.
